  • Week 15 Rundown, Part II

St. Petersburg Times/Zuma Press/Icon SMIWatching the Steelers win a fantastic Super Bowl made the news on Andrew Bynum a bit easier to take today (I’ve got him in two leagues). His grim prognosis and other injury updates follow:

    INJURY UPDATES

D.J. Augustin – Augustin’s abdominal strain is feeling better and he’s targeting this coming weekend for a return to the lineup.

Steve Blake – Blake is a game-time decision for Monday’s game.

Carlos Boozer – Boozer has been cleared to ramp up his exercise program and could begin running by the end of next week. Don’t expect him to be back in the lineup before the All-Star break, however.

Andrew Bynum – Bynum suffered a torn MCL in his right knee and will miss the next two to three months as he recovers. Pau Gasol will slide to center, with Lamar Odom returning to the starting lineup. The unlikely and absolute best-case scenario is that he’ll be back for a handful of regular season games, so it’s a fairly safe move to drop him in almost all non-keeper leagues.

Vince Carter – VC has already declared himself able to play on Tuesday, despite a right ankle injury that took him out of Saturday’s game early.

Tyson Chandler – Chandler won’t play Monday but is hoping to be back in the lineup on Wednesday.

Kevin Garnett – KG missed Sunday’s game with the flu and has already been declared out for Tuesday at Philly, as well. Garnett will remain in Boston in the hopes that he’ll be ready to practice Wednesday and play Thursday. Glen Davis got the start in his stead on Sunday (37 minutes, 12 points, 6 boards, 3 steals).

Al Horford – Horford is expected to participate in his first full-court practice on Monday, with an eye on a Wednesday return to the lineup.

Chris Kaman – He’s (probably) out through the All-Star break.

Andrei Kirilenko – Doctors found two bone fragments in AK’s ankle when they performed surgery on Friday (they only expected to find one), so the initial timetable of three to four weeks now seems overly-optimistic. In the interim, Jerry Sloan plans to spread his minutes evenly between a number of players.

Shawn Marion – After several game-time decisions and DNP’s over the weekend, Marion could “possibly” return to the lineup on Monday. With that said, I’ve kept him on the bench in the weekly lineup league where I have him on my roster.

Brad Miller – Miller didn’t play Sunday and will miss at least one more game because of an abdominal strain. Spencer Hawes got the start Sunday (30 minutes, 13 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, 3 blocks) and is the clear beneficiary in any Miller injury or trade scenarios.

Tracy McGrady – …is currently dealing with at least one injury that fantasy owners should expect to cause him to either miss time or suffer a degraded performance when he plays. Note: I’ll just copy/paste that moving forward.

Zach Randolph – Mike Dunleavy thinks that Z-Bo could return to the lineup “in the next week or so.”

Rodney Stuckey – Stuckey left Sunday’s game after he took a knee to the thigh – the team will take a closer look at it on Monday.

Gerald Wallace – We’re still a day or two away from getting more definitive updates on Wallace’s condition, given that he had to remain in Los Angeles at least through Monday. Once team doctors get a look at him, we should know more than that he’s simply not coming back “anytime soon.” Be looking for Juwan Howard to eventually step into the starting lineup, with Boris Diaw switching to small forward.

Delonte West – Be looking for status updates around the All-Star break. His timetable for a return from a broken wrist is sometime in late February.

Deron Williams – Williams’ bruised right quad is swollen enough to keep him out of Monday’s game, although he’s got no structural damage. The Jazz don’t play again until Thursday, however, and Williams “hopes” to be able to return by then.

    1. Ashley says:

Well Matthew, I never got any advice from you… But I went ahead and offered Bosh and my 4th round pick for Brook Lopez and his 1st round pick. I have 4 Raptors on my team (Bosh, Bargnani, Parker, and Moon) and I’m just getting so fed up with that team. They have no reason to be getting blown out half the time. I knew when they fired their coach after an 8-8 start that it would be a horrible move. They went from being the 8th seed in the East to practically last place. That has to be the worst move of the year. Wasn’t the previous coach ‘Coach of the Year’ a year or two ago??

So anyways, I’m not really happy with Bosh’s 23 pts, 9 rebs, and little else. Lopez is a great FT shooter, 2 blocks a game, and a near double double. And I’m hoping he’ll be more of an offensive force next year if Carter leaves NJ.

Plus the guy who has Lopez is tied for 9th place, he just lost Bynum for the rest of the season, and I’m playing him this week. So I’m guessing he’ll end up in 9th or 10th and that would give me the #1 or #2 overall pick with guys like Nash, Beasley, Murphy, and Marion potentially available in the 1st round.

I know I’m probably getting a little obsessed with youth because of how amazing Durant and Westbrook have been for me, but after looking over all the big men.. Other than Dwight, I think Lopez is the best overall Center with the highest upside.

Hopefully you don’t think I’m being stupid for doing this.. I hope I’m not being stupid for doing this…

      • wtolson says:

“So anyways, I’m not really happy with Bosh’s 23 pts, 9 rebs, and little else.”

Over the last month, Bosh has shot 78.6% FT’s (8.2 attempts per game) and averaged 2.4 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.2 blocks on 50%+ FG’s. For the season he’s got an overall Yahoo! player ranking of 13th (average of 22nd). Is that what you’d call “little else”?

        • Ashley says:

I consider “little else” the fact that he’s 6’10 and has never averaged more than 1.5 blks in his career. He’s never averaged 1 steal a game.

This year he’s averaging 0.9 blocks and 0.8 steals. The 2.4 assists are solid for a big man, but I don’t want assists from a big man. I want blocks from a big man.

Bosh is averaging 19 pts, 8 reb, and 1.3 ast over the last 2 weeks. And even though turnovers don’t matter in my league, he’s turning it over like crazy.

He’s clearly sick of Toronto and I’m sick of him. He’s a wannabe superstar who has to make lame YouTube ads just to get selected as an All-Star reserve every year.

I know he’s good, but I think he’s overrated. He’s KG without the defense.

Over the last month Bosh is ranked 39th… Lopez is ranked 43rd… Bosh is a 5th year player, Lopez is a rookie. So I think going forward they’ll have pretty similar values, and I’d also be getting a top 3 pick.

      • mbuser says:

i dont think you’re being stupid but it’s a big gamble. you are stacked so you don’t have much to worry about, but one thing i always warn people about in keeper leagues – if you always are building for the future, you’ll never win in the present. i love lopez though and you’ll probably do okay with that 1st pick

        • Ashley says:

I know, my first two years in the league I’ve been really determined to do whatever it takes to get great keepers and I think I’ve accomplished that. Next year I will have my keepers in place and won’t overpay for anyone, so I’ll have a better overall team than I’ve had in the past.

I looked at my league last season and I finished in 7th at 70-95-3 and was 44.5 games out of 1st.

This year I’m in 3rd with a record of 67-42-3, 2 games out of 1st. 8-1-1 over the last 10 weeks, so I’m making progress.

But there’s a 60 move limit and I’ve already used 56 moves because I’m so impatient. Everyone else is saving their moves for the playoffs. There’s a 7 move per week max, which was supposed to prevent streaming, but I think that’s still too many moves. So I don’t expect to win this year.

I asked the commish to create a poll so we can vote on changing it to 3 moves max a week in the playoffs next year.

          • mhoub1186 says:

56 moves already? You had better hope to avoid injuries.

Maybe “impatient” is an understatement? :)

            • Ashley says:

Yeah it is an understatement. Guys like Conley, Ariza, Bonner, Battier, and Moon to name a few have been on and off my roster numerous times. I came so close to adding Novak for Cook and then I had to remind myself that I only have 4 moves left and am playing the 9th place team this week so I can survive the week without Cook.

My team has been shook up so much this season, I only have like 3 players on my current roster from week 1. But I took a “moneyball” approach.. Everyone on my team has a specific role and it’s been perfect. 5-0, 29-10-1 in the 5 weeks under this strategy.

              • jughead says:

56 moves. I’m in a 10 team H2H league and one guy’s up to 103 moves already! He just keeps adding and dropping players to boost his stats on a daily basis. Wouldn’t have mattered if it were a 14 or even a 12 team league but 10 teams leaves a lot of good players in a FA. Some call it cheating but have also starting doing it. what a shame. hehe.

    2. Ashley says:

Best overall young* center. Dwight and Jefferson are better. And I’ll take Lopez over Biedrins because he’s 4 years younger and shoots FTs almost 30% better.

    3. Daniel D. says:

I totally understand the frustration with Bosh’s occasionally anemic defense, and I was able to trade him straight up for Garnett about a month ago. But I do have a pretty serious problem with that trade…

Bosh has huge name recognition and such a “sexy” stat line that you can shop him for much more than Brook Lopez and a good draft pick. What is the ADP of pick 3 in round 1 with all of those keepers?

While that seems like a pretty fair deal, once you decide Bosh is “tradeable”, you gotta go for the maximum value. He has a really high ceiling, and someone may be willing to deal too much to get him.

      • Ashley says:

Well if you know a young center other than Lopez who has a lot of upside and doesn’t have a torn MCL, let me know.. The only other center I would be interested in is Al Jefferson, but his owner is a pain to deal with and would probably want more than Bosh.

So Lopez is the only guy I’m targeting, if he rejects.. Oh well, I’ll just keep Bosh.

I traded Bynum, Gay, and my 1st rd pick for Bosh and his 3rd rd pick earlier in the year.

Guys like Nash, Beasley, Marion, Murphy, Mo Williams, T. Parker, Rondo, Kevin Martin, and Jason Richardson will most likely be available.

The 1st place team has Iguodala, Dwight Howard, Devin Harris, Amare, Nash, David Lee, and Rashard Lewis.

I’m guessing he won’t keep Nash and Lee. If I had the #2 pick and a chance to grab Nash to go along with Paul, that would be perfect.

Nash/Lopez for Bosh and whoever he gets in the 4th rd is fine with me.

        • Daniel D. says:

Well like I said, I got Garnett straight up for Bosh earlier this year. Getting Brook Lopez and a draft pick is less than you should be getting for Bosh. Even if Lopez averages 17 and 10 on decent %s with 1.5 to 2 bpg, you’re giving up a lot of value for that extra block.

Actually, the more I type, the more I think you are getting screwed big time. Bosh has HUGE trade value, and you’re moving him for a guy that was surfing the waiver wire a couple months ago. You can get Lopez for less, and you can get more for Bosh.

        • Ashley says:

Well like I said, if you know a young center, other than Lopez, with a ton of upside who doesn’t have a torn MCL… Let me know. I’m in a keeper league, I’m not trading Bosh for Garnett.

And he rejected my offer of Bosh and 4th rd pick for Lopez and his 1st rd pick, so obviously I can’t get Lopez for less.

What is so great about Bosh? Zach Randolph gets no respect, but he averages 22 pts, 11 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl, 0.7 3ptm. Those numbers are BETTER than Bosh’s.

People who only produce in points and rebounds are SO OVERRATED. I got so much crap in my league because I spent my #1 waiver on Tyrus Thomas while Beasley was also on waivers at the same time. But I’ll take 10/5/2/2 over 14/7 and nothing else.

And they don’t take my team seriously because of guys like Turiaf, Chris Anderson, Ariza, Chalmers, and Cook. They aren’t sexy, but they’re more valuable than people realize. They’re why my team put up 51 3′s, 50 steals, and 43 blocks last week and won 7-1.

So you may think I’m dumb for going after Lopez and a top 3 pick for Bosh, but I know what I’m doing and Lopez is perfect for my team.

    4. mjfeld says:

      Hey Buser,
So I am in a keeper league we are playing keep the top 3 players on our team for next year.
      My roster is
Danny Granger, Caron Butler, Devin Harris, Chris Duhon, Andrew Bynum, Andrew Bogut, David West, Marvin Williams, Jeff Green, Nenad Kristic, Monta Ellis and Mo Williams

Who would you keep cuz I am thinking I might drop Bynum to help possibly win the title this year but not sure outside of Danny Granger who I should really keep I was thinking Danny devin and either Caron or Andrew Bynum

      • RT says:

Is it h2h or roto and who’s available? if h2h and you have a legit shot at the title this year (one of the top seeds), you may want to hold off and see if bynum is able to return for a late run (since it is a keeper league). If its roto and you have a legit shot, make sure you get someone of value b/c someone will snag bynum for the future. But if you do drop Bynum, keep DG, Devin, and the third should depend on what kind of strategy you play (west, caron/monta, green, williams).

      • mbuser says:

under no circustances do you drop bynum in a keeper league. at the very least, you trade him to a team with no shot at the title to help your own cause this season

        • jughead says:

do you think it was karma that andrew bynum got injured after that elbow to g.wallace? that elbow looked pretty intentional to me. yeah right he didn’t mean to hurt him! a more accurate statement would be “i didn’t mean to hurt him that much” – right on the money!

    5. CootJaw says:

Hey buse! I need some major help in deciding whether or not to pick up mike bibby from waivers. Someone dropped him for dalembert for some reason. He would be a great addition to my team, but I already have joe johnson and al horford on my roster. Players that I could drop are: Andre Miller, Iverson, Peja, Jameer Nelson, and Ben gordon. Also, my waiver number is 3 so I wanna grab him quick if it’s a good pickup.

      What do you think???

    6. holden says:

so what’s the story on arenas? is it safe to drop him at this point? i’m in a 12 team roto league and wonder just how long i can hold on to this guy.

      • mbuser says:

ironically this was the first week in a while that i didn’t update his status. i can’t say that there is no chance he’ll be back this season, but at 10-38 he’s not likely to have enough motivation – i mention motivation because he went on record a month ago about how having the worst record in the league might not be a bad thing

        • jughead says:

gil won’t be coming back this season unless the wizards get on an 19-0 streak of there own. talked to him yesterday. but if i’m gil, i’d play if im healthy. it shouldn’t matter if your team is in a lost season. fact is, your a professional athlete and you’re being paid to play. so if you’re not hurt, then you have to play. at least help sell tickets. but then again, i’m not gil and i don’t have a 1M dollar pool (can’t believe i’m still not over that one!)

    7. mistadobalina says:

yo buser, just wondering who you think will get the extra minutes in LA with bynum out. ariza is on my waiver wire and i have some very droppable players (hinrich and battier being the obvious choices; both cleared waivers last time i dropped them so i’ve been streaming). i’m leaning towards hinrich as my other guards are billups, kobe, monta, rudy f., & chalmers.
on another note, i sprung and picked up delonte a few days ago. i’m optimistic because it’s his non-shooting hand and he wanted to play through it. you feeling the optimism?

      • mbuser says:

yeah ariza benefits from odom moving into the starting five – i can see dropping hinrich for him. chris mihm will start seeing the court as the backup C

and yes i think the fact that it was his non-shooting hand helps his chances for a relatively smooth return

    8. RT says:

looks like you’re going to need to put CP3 on this list

      • Ashley says:

        =(

        It better not be serious…..

The guy rejected Brook Lopez and his 1st rd pick for Bosh and my 4th rd pick. I guess I can’t trick him into taking the overrated piece of crap Bosh. I’m going to try one last time.. I’ll include the 3rd rd pick I got when I traded for Bosh instead of my 4th. That’s the highest I can go because I don’t have a 1st or 2nd. I really hope he accepts.

        • Jethro says:

Is this the same overrated piece of crap that has finished 25th, 31st, and (so far) 14th in total rank? His 05-06 numbers are about the same, putting him right in the same range for that year. I don’t know where you took him when you drafted him, but unless it was earlier than the turn of the first/second rounds, you have certainly gotten your money’s worth.

          • Ashley says:

I’ve made my case against him in the posts above.

I’m looking for 2.5 blocks out of my center, not 2.5 assists.

I didn’t draft Bosh, he was someone else’s keeper.

I traded Bynum, Gay, and my 1st rd pick for Bosh and the guys 3rd rd pick.

But it doesn’t matter, he rejected my offer and wrote:

            Comments from Anything is Possible:
Sorry, but declining both those offers. Bosh is a superstar, but Brook will get close to Bosh’s numbers, and I really really want to keep those 1st and 2nd round picks that I have next year.

So I’ve made one last offer, Bosh and a 3rd rd pick for Lopez and his 1st.

If he rejects that, I’ll give up and keep Bosh. Lopez is the only guy I want and his 1st rd pick would be a top 3 overall pick.

            • mistadobalina says:

i would never give up a top 3 pick in a keeper (you generally end up with someone who should’ve been kept anyway). why not try for his 2nd? (unless the draft is snake-style). i agree that lopez will be a stud, especially if VC is out but it seems like this owner feels the same way.

              • Ashley says:

It is a snake-draft. There will probably only be 5 keeper-worthy players available early in the draft, so if I can’t get a top 3 pick for Bosh I won’t trade him.

Bad timing by me though.. I shouldn’t have pursued Lopez after a 24 pt, 17 reb, 4 blk game and after Bosh has been horrible the last couple weeks. But maybe Bosh will put up respectable numbers tonight to help me get rid of him.

                • Daniel D. says:

One last thing about this Bosh v. Lopez talk…

Here are Bosh’s averages for the year…
                  22.8 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 2.4 apg, 0.8 spg, 0.9 bpg, 49.4% FGs on 16 shots, 80.4% FTs on 8.5 shots.

Ashley – I totally understand that his the lack of blocks on a nightly basis can be a pain, but his numbers are SO helpful across the board, and a block per game from your center isn’t too bad. He turns 25 this year, which is a pretty typical age for players to hit their prime. Trading him for anybody that isn’t currently in the top 15-20 seems like a value dump.

I’ll stop beating this horse now, he’s been dead for at least a day.

                  • rustygriswald says:

                    Ashley,

I think you are probably over-thinking things. If you look at the overall outcome of your dealings you’ll see that you would have traded Bynum (far prior to injury) and Rudy Gay (pretty quality short term help) and your first round pick, for: Brook Lopez, his first round pick and a third round pick. That at best is a marginal trade. Bosh is currently demanding out of Toronto. Next year (which you SURE seem to be building for) you’ll start with a motivated Bosh wherever he may be, and some great other starting help. With your attentiveness to your team you should stay on top of FA’s that could lift you to the top if you stop thinking ahead so far and ride it out. Draft Camby with your 2nd Rounder next year and hope he stays healthy and he’ll average Bosh out just fine.

    9. fantasystud says:

My league has no bench (long story) so lots of good injured players are on the FA list. Boozer and Kaman are the two notables. When do you advise dropping a weaker player and picking up one (if not both?) of them?

    10. jughead says:

I’m thinking of trading amare for jose calderon. what you guys think? I want to get rid of amare and am in need of ast and at ratio. Or would amare+diaw for calderon+harrington sound better? I just hate diaw’s TOs. 8 today! man!

    11. gab says:

matt i need advice im fourth in my league hoping to be 2nd or 1st by playoff time, i have granger and devin on my team and im about to trade them for deron and brandon roy, i want those extra games during playoff time but i’m not sure because i need granger’s 3′s and blocks so i asked for marvin williams as well and he said he would for randy foye, i have dwight, krstic and okafor for blks and dwight doesnt block a lot of shots anymore and actually im set at pg, i have duhon foye and harris i just want to have the most games come playoff time, should i still pull the trigger on the deal? and granger’s injuries are a concern for me

    12. noelg says:

I’m looking into trading Joe Johnson for a player with a better shooting percentage. Who should I target? I’m in a standard H2H league with 12 teams and I currently sit 6th, but I always lose the shooting percentage category.

      • Daniel D. says:

I traded Johnson straight up for Josh Smith recently, because I also needed better shooting and some blocks. He immediately went 2-10 from the line. I kind of wish that I just accepted Joe for what he is and dealt with the bad shooting streaks when they came…now that Jameer is hurt, I’m awfully short on 3s without Joe.

Considering it’s H2H, you may want to consider trading your best FG shooter for another guy who shoots FGs poorly but does most other things well (see Baron Davis, who’s trade value could be at an all-time low). Just toss out FG% and do what you can to win the other 8 categories convincingly.

        • RT says:

I agree with Daniel D, punt FG% and go for broke on the others.

          • noelg says:

Thanks guys for the advice. I guess Johnson is what he is. :)

Sorry, I have another question about Brand. I don’t know what to do about him. He’s costing my team, but I don’t want to drop him outright. Currently my team looks like this:

Westbrook, Johnson, Iguodala, Jamison, Lee, P.Gasol, M.Gasol, Brand, Kevin Martin, Dunleavy, Beasley, Ridnour and Pavolovic. Do you think I can get a decent point guard for Brand, and who should I realistically target (keeping in mind Brand’s recent production, or lack of?).

            Thanks guys for the advice!

Lopez is having another monster game. Damn it. If you heard that clip of Christian Bale cussing out that crew member… That’s what I’d like to do to the Raptors. Bargnani 3-11, he can’t make a 3. I’m stuck with him though because I only have 3 moves left. I did drop Moon for Ariza though. 5 minutes for Moon. Parker 1-7. Bosh 39 minutes, 3 rebounds, 0 blocks.. But he did get blocked twice. Is there a 6 month honeymoon period that an interim coach has, where he can’t be fired? If there isn’t, how does this Toronto coach still have a job? Starting Bargnani at SF against Lebron was another brilliant move by him, as Lebron starts 6-6, 16 pts in the 1st qtr.

      He accepted. Peace out Bosh!

Now I’m close to trading Bargnani and my 5th for Jason Richardson and his 6th rd pick.

Going from 4 Raptors to 1 Raptor in one day would be a dream come true =)

You sure sound cool with that peace out Bosh nonsense, you posted this earlier Ashley

“Brook Lopez is probably the best fantasy rookie though.. I’m bitter that I dropped him a couple weeks into the season”

Your over thinking including dropping Lopez in some short sighted state has left you with this outcome. In consideration to your drafted team. You traded Bynum (far prior to injury) and Rudy Gay for a third round pick next year. You could have gotten much more from those players.

      • Ashley says:

Thanks rusty, but I’m perfectly fine with the trades I’ve made.

My keepers are Lebron, Chris Paul, Durant, Lopez, and Westbrook. And I have a top 3 pick available. I don’t care if Bosh will be “motivated” next year. He’s not capable of anything more than 23/10 and 1 block. Lopez has been a monster lately, he’s 20 years old, Vince Carter will be out of NJ next year.

Bynum played 46 games this year and Gay has been mediocre all year. I have no problem trading them. I’m tired of dealing with that mess in Toronto, so I have no regrets trading Bosh either.

Bosh is 37th over the last month, Lopez is 41st.. Lopez is only 20, I think he’ll be special.

I think Lopez will be special as well, I am glad to have picked him up in the first few weeks of the season. I’m still on the fence as to whether or not it was a good move to deal Bosh for him. I think you are being way too hard on him. That pick does up the ante in the deal.Perhaps the best thing to come out of this is that we don’t have to hear about how bad of a shot-blocker Bosh is anymore!!!

          • rustygriswald says:

Additionally you dropped Lopez by over thinking. Bosh is a huge price to pay for a player you should have kept to accompany him. I know you’re story (as most visitors to this forum do) and I guess I’m saying that next year you should bank on your studs and let the rest of the team have a chance to develop before you wheel and deal them all away.

          • Ashley says:

I know.. I feel bad about dropping him. I drafted him with the last pick of the draft and was confident that he’d be a solid player. I dropped him November 12th (for Chris Duhon atleast). He was splitting time with Boone and wasn’t even getting 20 mins a game. The previous 5 games before I dropped him Lopez had scored a total of 13 points. Unfortunately someone beat me to him when Boone got injured.

I know boys have big ego’s and most probably wouldn’t trade a good player to get someone they dropped earlier in the season back.

Matt made a good point about keeper leagues when he said if you’re always building for the future, you’ll never win now. The average age of my 5 keepers is 21.6 and I love all of them. Lopez is averaging 12 pts, 8 reb, 2 blk as a rookie and Westbrook is averaging 17 pts, 5 reb, 5.5 ast, and 1.2 steals since becoming the starter back in December.

Chris Paul is probably the only PG to put up better rookie numbers than that.

So hopefully Westbrook and Lopez will continue to get better, but Rudy Gay has caused me to be skeptical because I had such high expectations for him this season but he has been worse is pretty much every category.

Hi forum and hopefully headmaster Buser. I have a new question. I’m in a redraft league and (not to brag just for understanding) I’m a ways ahead after some lucky good health (knock) and looking good for a first round bye.

Somebody recently dropped Jameer Nelson, and our league is quite deep. 12 teams x 15 players = 160 players rostered. The end of my bench (and only droppable) is Krstic, and I can handle an injury for the time being. However I’ve gone 27-1 combined in stls, assts this year. I’m solid in points but I’m near level in BLKS and REBs with some possible opponents in the postseason. Krstic has been solid for a mere (but helpful) 5 REb and 1+ BLKS plus pretty decent percentages and near or over 2 digit scoring. I also think he stands to get even better numbers with any shift in operations.

Nelson looks like a 2-6 week rehab currently. What would he be worth to a guard desperate team if he appears to be somewhat healthy going into the playoffs? Also if he is healthy he would be a nice guard asset as he has 10 games in the final three weeks 4-4-2. My end of fantasy season.

I also have D Rose and Rondo who play the least games for my team 2-3-2. Evening out the guard position I have Harris, D.West, Fernandez, Rip, Ginoblili, and Iggy. My forward and Centers get guard stats as well, but slack slightly in their usual categories.

Thus, Krstic’s stats are very complementary to my setup and they can’t be replaced in my FA pool.

So a healthy Jameer is a great asset with 10 games in the last 3 weeks, and he outnumbers rondo and rose by 2 games over that period.

Is Jameer’s projected value when near healthy worth much more than a Krstic? Also what would Rondo and/or Rose be worth in trade for a F or C with REB and possibly blk specialties?

      Thanks,

      Rusty

Don’t waste your time with Nelson, I would try to move Rose for some RB/Blks. I think that he will digress as the season goes on and Hinrich will take some of his value away as well. the sooner the better

      • mbuser says:

i’ll just echo rh – it’s a pretty good bet that nelson undergoes season-ending surgery and rose for reb/blk makes sense

        • rustygriswald says:

Right on guys, if you have suggestions I’d love them. I almost had Odom for Rose which would have been perfect and then Bynum went down…

          If only he’d clicked a day sooner…

    16. Ashley says:

Oden is playing on the rookie all-star team?? The rookies are stacked, I don’t even know how the sophomore team has enough talent to put a team together.. Poor Durant.
