Cavaliers Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

Let's preface this story by saying all indications are that LeBron James will remain with the Cavaliers past this season.

James will likely opt out of his contract this summer and become an unrestricted free agent. Many think he'll re-sign with the Cavs after making them sweat bullets for perhaps a week.

But if he decides to leave this summer, it will be catastrophic to the Cavs, Northeast Ohio and James' reputation in his home state.

He'd never be able to show his face again in Ohio without being greeted with a snarl. As much as he is beloved now, fans and many in the media would turn on him quickly.

He'd be persona non grata more than former Browns owner Art Modell ever was.

James continues to maintain that he's done talking about free agency. (Cleveland Cavaliers)
