Rockets Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

If the Rockets did not know how valuable Kyle Lowry had become when he was playing, it was even more obvious when he was out.

As much as Aaron Brooks had become a valuable—and often irreplaceable—scorer the Rockets needed what Lowry brings, too. He took some of the load off Brooks, keeping him fresher. He keyed the Rockets' second unit and its strong fast break. Most of all, however, he brought a defiant feistiness that became much of the Rockets' style.

"He's a big part of it, maybe more so than everybody really realized," Rockets coach Rick Adelman said. "We knew what he gave us game in and game out. He always gave us energy. He was great to play with Chase (Budinger). (Houston Rockets)
