The Washington Wizards are not only a bad basketball team, but they have become incredibly boring as well.
In six of their last seven games, the Wizards have failed to score more than 90 points.
"I think not having Josh (Howard) definitely hurts us," Wizards coach Flip Saunders said. "But sometimes it's some of the teams we're playing against. Milwaukee is one of the better defensive teams. Boston is one of the better defensive teams. A lot, it boils down to, (is) the teams you're playing against. We came out of the break against Minnesota. They're not a good defensive team. So you're going to score (on) some teams."
Points won't be coming easy for the Wizards any time soon. (Washington Wizards)

Pistons 101, Wizards 87 What are the Wizards going to have left for Orlando? After sticking with the Atlanta Hawks the night before, they didn't appear to have much stored up for the Detroit Pistons on Friday and they got ran off the court. The Pistons had 28 fastbreak points, taking advantage of the Wizards' sloppy ball movement and inability to get back on defense. The Wizards looked like their running with weights, while the Pistons looked they were rolling on skates. Once the Pistons built a 12-point lead in the first quarter, the Wizards were forced to play uphill, powered by fumes. "You can't make any excuses on back-to-backs, because everybody plays them," Mike Miller said. "It's not like it is our first one of the year or anything like that. We just need to continue to play and find ways to win games." But that is no small

Will Bynum knew early on that Friday could be a big night for him. The Detroit Pistons point guard, playing in place of Rodney Stuckey, had eight assists in the first quarter against Washington and decided he was going for the record book. "At the end of the first quarter, I thought I had a chance to get Kevin Porter's (team) record of 25, but I don't think the coach and I had the same... ( Washington Wizards)

Young told McGee that it's tough for a wing player to get inside for dunks all the time, before McGee interrupted him and mocked Young for attempting a finger roll in Thursday's game. "You could've dunked last night," McGee said. "I'm a finesse player now," Young joked. Young has definitely picked up his play the past two games. After going scoreless in just three minutes in Boston, Young has averaged 17.5 points against Houston and Atlanta. He has also shot 50 percent from the floor in those

I'm not going back to Zero. (Photo by Ned Dishman/NBAE Getty Images) By now, you are already aware that Gilbert Arenas is changing jersey numbers from No. 0 to No. 6 next season. Arenas has spent his entire career marketing his image and his persona around his jersey number and his something-from-nothing life story. Agent Zero has officially left the building. Arenas appears ready to move on to another chapter in his career after completing a season-ending suspension for bringing guns into the locker room. Arenas will be sentenced in two weeks for a felony gun possession charge, but I wanted to see what you all thought about the change. What will you remember about the Agent Zero era? JaVale McGee became the second player this season to have eight dunks in one game as he caught lobs, attacked the rim for put-backs and soared along the baseline for an impressive highlight reel. Trey Kerby from Yahoo! Sports' Ball Don't Lie blog put up an interesting post that lists some of the notable players who don't have eight dunks this season, let alone in one game. The most surprising name on the list is three-time slam dunk champion Nate Robinson, who only has three dunks this season. Three!?! Nick Young also only has four dunks, which is a little shocking as well. According to CBS Sports' Dunk-O-Meter, there are 132 NBA players who don't have more than seven dunks this season. McGee is tied with Ben Wallace and Spencer Hawes with 41 dunks this season. Dwight Howard, the only other player with an eight-dunk game, leads the league with

Gilbert Arenas might, but it appears that Agent Zero will never again play for the Washington Wizards. The NBA has approved Arenas's request to have his infamous jersey No. 0 changed to No. 6 next season. Arenas asked pending free agent Mike Miller if he could have the number, and Miller obliged. Perhaps no player was more synonymous with a number than Arenas, and the news was a shock to the Bog's Dan Steinberg, who went in depth on the jersey number swap. On any other day, Josh Howard's desire to return to Washington would take precedent. But after being silent for the past two weeks, Howard finally spoke about his season-ending ACL injury, which will require him to have surgery soon. The Wizards also played a game on Thursday, losing the first stage of the hoopocalypse to the Atlanta Hawks. Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee had some great performances

Hawks 105, Wizards 99 After the Wizards lost their fifth game in a row to the Atlanta Hawks, the question that had to be asked had nothing to do with the performances of Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee, or how they were going to stay energized playing three games in three consecutive nights. No, Mike Miller had to explain his thoughts now that Gilbert Arenas desires to abandon No. 0 - and all of the Agent Zeroisms that came with it - to switch the No. 6 currently in Miller's possession. As expected, Miller had no problem with it. "He gave me a call, asked me about it. I gave him the go-ahead," Miller said. "If he wants No. 6, he can have it." When asked what number he'll wear if he and Arenas are teammates in Washington next season, Miller said he would probably go with his familiar No.

As he sits on the bench at the start of each game, Jamal Crawford analyzes the opposition, the defenses they are employing, and the flow of the game. Goodbye, "Agent Zero." Gilbert Arenas is switching his uniform number. The suspended guard submitted paperwork to go from No. 0 to No. 6, and the NBA approved the change, league spokesman Tim Frank confirmed in an e-mail to The Associated Press on Thursday. The team confirmed on Thursday that Arenas has submitted the paperwork to have his jersey number changed to No. 6 next season. Arenas has worn No. 0 ever since he played college basketball at Arizona. Arenas said he wore the number because he was told he wouldn't see any playing time at that the storied program. The No. 6 is significant because Arenas's birthday is Jan. 6 - which is also the day that the NBA gave Arenas an indefinite suspension for his behavior after it was revealed that he brought guns to the locker room

After leading the Washington Wizards to a shocking 10-point victory over the Denver Nuggets nearly three weeks ago, Josh Howard reached into his locker room stall and picked up an all-white Washington Nationals baseball cap. Howard then explained how much he liked the curly W logo and that he had bought a few hats in different colors long before the Dallas Mavericks made him a District resident in a trade deadline deal. "I got a whole bunch of these," Howard said, flashing his crooked grin as he twisted the slightly oversize cap around his head. "You'll see." Howard had hoped to make wins and his assortment of Nats hats a regular post-game sight, but that was the last time he would play a game at Verizon Center and leave the court without assistance. Howard's season came to an end just two games later on Feb. 22, when his left knee

Morning brew The Wizards will kick off their roughest stretch of the season - a five-games-in-six-nights affair also known as the Hoopocalypse - tonight against the Atlanta Hawks at Verizon Center. The Wizards will play three games over the next three nights. The offense has been a problem for the Wizards, who have lost four games in a row, but Shaun Livingston provided a lift in a 20-minute spurt on Tuesday against Houston. Former Wizards Coach Eddie Jordan said he isn't worried about reports that he could be fired between now and the end of the season. Peter Lukko, chief operating officer and president of Comcast-Spectacor, told the Philadelphia Daily News that the team has not made a decision about Jordan's future. The Dallas Mavericks tied the third-longest streak in franchise history when they won their 13th game in a row on Wednesday against New Jersey. The streak has coincided
